Fun facts
The Town of Hamden was created on April 4, 1825. The first town meeting was held on the first Tuesday of March at the house of Edward B. Chase, Innkeeper. Jabez Bostwick was elected as the first Town Supervisor, Daniel Coleman Jr. as first Town Clerk.
